Daly City Childcare and Community Event Center

Daly City

Description

Architects presented the design for a two-story center with a 7,500 sq ft Head Start childcare center below and an 8,300 sq ft event space for 420 above; council raised parking and drop-off concerns before the project moves forward.

Impact summary

Brings deeply affordable childcare to working families and gives Daly City a modern large event venue, but parking will lean on City Hall lots and nearby agreements.
